Negativity In The Workplace Is Like Poison To Your Career

It's very easy to get involved in the negative gossip that is pervasive in almost all workplaces. I have never worked anywhere that there wasn't something that people couldn't talk about. What fun it is to put down the company. To make fun of how it is run and to feel superior to your bosses. And you might be right. They may be screwing up. The company may be dysfunctional. But, what good does it do you to spend your time discussing it ad nauseum. It not only doesn' tdo you any good but it actually hurts you in many ways. You yourself look bad. Gossip doesn't become anyone. You waste time on it when you could be focusing on your job. The negativity of the action brings more negativity into your life. The worse you think it is the worse it will get. So do not get involved and remove yourself from it immediately. People will quickly get the idea that you do not play. You will also bring more positive results to your actions because you will look for ways to function well instead of blaming the situation and trying.
