Well first things first. Do you deserve a raise? Or, do you just think you should get one because you do a good job and have been at your place a while? Believe it or not, that is not enough of a reason to get a raise. You are getting paid to do a good job at the salary you are at. So what makes you deserve a raise? Adding extra value. If you can show how you are positively effecting your company than you should ask for an increase. What you say? I am only a lowly assistant how can I effect my company. Here are the following tips:
- Increase your responsibilities thus saving the company on efficiencies.
- Bring in new clients or additional business
- Find vendors that help save the company money
- Help the company to be more efficient by say implementing a new filing system.
