Once you have a clear picture on why you deserve your raise, decide on how you want to present the information. Being prepared when you are having your meeting will make a big difference. You will go into your meeting with confidence.
In addition to how you have made an impact on your company you will also want to speak about other things. For example you might mention the industry standards of salary for the position you hold. You can also discuss how you have personally grown as an individual. Comment on how well you work with your coworkers and the strong relationships you have with your customers and vendors.
Think of all the ways you have been an exceptional employee. But do not get into the small details. You want to present the big picture and not bore your boss. Keep this part of the meeting down to about 10 minutes. And once you write up all the points you want to discuss, practice saying them. Make a presentation to your boyfriend, best friend, or mother and get their imput. You want to be clear and polished in your talk.
