Many times people want to do something and they think about it and think about it but never get anywhere. Than someone else does it and bam they kick themselves for
inaction.  Don’t over think.  But, definitely overdo.  To be successful Tony Robbins says you need to take massive action.  So whatever you want to achieve realize that taking consistent and lots of action will make the difference between success and mediocre or even total failure.

I have a good friend who is a salesperson.  She is one of the best I have ever seen.  I also know another salesperson that was profoundly unsuccessful.  The best one I
will call Beth.  The unsuccessful one Jennie.  Beth would come into work 30
minutes before the day started and stay 30 minutes after the end of the
day.  She spent her entire day calling and emailing accounts to introduce and sell her product.  She made call after call.  Each call she made was important to her.   So she didn’t just try to reach a big number of accounts but made sure she was as effective as possible with each approach.  Jennie on the other hand had her handful of accounts.  Every day she
spent making sure she was very organized and all her reports for each account was excellent.  If someone came and took over for her they undoubtedly would know exactly where each client stood.  However her business was shrinking and she wasn’t opening up new accounts. Ultimately she lost her job.  She was a preparer.  So busy preparing that
she wasn’t taking action to build her accounts or add any new ones.  Beth on the other  was a major success.  She went on to make a $1 million a year.

Whatever your field, whatever you do, taking consistent and massive action will bring you the success you seek. So remember ready, fire, aim.

One of the big trends this season is color.  Bright colors that you can mix and match are in.  But a more practical way to interpret the look is to pick one item to wear in color and then make the rest of the outfit neutral.  In the following outfit yellow is the pop color.

I am loving Safari styles.  They could be a dress, jacket, or pants.  It is a great addition to your work wardrobe and can be a really fun look.  This dress with a pair of stiletto’s really raises the fashion quotient.

The color white as in allover white looks fresh and new.  The important thing to remember is when wearing all white mix textures to give interest.  A few contrast accessories will also pull the outfit together and make it exciting without being too bland.

Printed blouses look very dressy and pretty.  I particularly like them with pencil skirts for a very professional look.  But they really work with anything. Look how polished this outfit is.

Taking trends from the runway without being too literal and copying exactly is the way to update your wardrobe.  InStyle and Lucky are good magazines to show you how to interpret trends.

I know young people who are coming into the business all the time.  They are smart, educated, motivated, and bring a new energy to fashion.  So my advice to you is to follow your dream.

Look at each day as an opportunity. Take a specific goal you wish to acheive.  Look at the date you want to reach it by.  Then work backwards.  Give yourself tasks to do ea ch day that will help you reach your outcome.

There are times you must feel that you did not accomplish what you wanted to in a day.  Either the day was too busy or you wasted time or perhaps you just didn’t feel like doing anything towards your goal.  Remember Scarlett in, Gone With The Wind, “Tomorrow is another day”.  So do not drop your goal because you get sidelined a few days.  Just pick it up the very next day.

Remeber everyday is an opportunity to achieve your goals.

If you call yourself fat you will continue to be fat.  If you love your body and appreciate it for all it does for you than you can start to release the pounds.  When you do not get the job you want do not berate yourself, but, rather say to yourself that you didn’t get this job because there is a more perfect one around the corner.

The book “The Secret” says that the words you put out there in the universe is like magic and can create your dreams.

So do not poison your mind with poor language. Use positive words to reach your goals.

You do not need lots of interview outfits.  Two should do it.  One to wear and the other to clean.  You should wear something fashionable and business appropriate.  It dosen’t have to be a suit.  But should be a coordinating ensemble.  See the following outfits for some ideas.

The reason I speak about this today is I am on my way to Seattle and I made the big mistake of forgetting my credit card. I had a very large oversized piece of luggage that cost $325 to check. I had to call someone to borrow their credit card in order to get my luggage checked. What a nuisance.

My recommendation when you travel is the following:
Travel light. You don’t need to have 3 choices of outfits for each day.
Make sure you have all your documents ready. Visa if needed, passport, and your drivers license for ID.
Have a folder for all your receipts. Do your expenses as soon as you get home and the trip is fresh in your mind. You will make less mistakes that way.
Be polite to everyone who works for the airlines. They have a tough job and kindness goes a long way.
Finally don’t forget your credit card. You have to pay for your luggage with most airlines these days.
